Due to the emergence of the Covid-19 global pandemic and its resultant impacts on our small business, Callaghan Country has now moved to a new booking procedure that shares some of the risks implicit in offering these unique adventures. We feel this to be a fair approach to our customers, most of whom are versed in risk mitigation, and to us as small entities trying to stay financially viable during these challenging times.

PAYMENTS

Payments Room Bookings: A 35% non-refundable deposit is required.

Entire lodge group bookings: A $2500.00 non-refundable deposit is required. Four months prior to departure, a non-refundable 35% deposit is required from each individual.

Waiver of Liability

A waiver of liability must be signed by each individual as a condition of acceptance as a Talus Lodge guest. Talus Lodge requires all guests to complete an online waiver, at the time of booking, in order to confirm reservations. Our insurance provider requires guests to re-sign a paper waiver upon arrival at Talus Lodge. Click here to read and sign the waiver.

Gratuity We are often asked for guidelines regarding gratuity policy and amounts. Gratuities are not expected but appreciated by the staff. Over the past season, gratuities have typically averaged 10% of the package price and are divided equally amongst lodge staff. If you wish, you can either bring cash to the lodge or add a gratuity to your final payment with the credit card on your booking file.
